The First Evidence of Settlement – Flint Tools

The oldest traces of human presence in the area of today’s Teplice reach deep into prehistory. Archaeological finds in the form of flint blades used by hunters and gatherers prove that the region was inhabited between approximately 40,000 and 10,000 BC. These valuable discoveries were made mainly in the Hudcov area and on the slopes of Doubravská hora and represent the very first known evidence of human activity in this part of the landscape.
