What questions do our visitors ask most often? In this section you’ll find answers to the most frequently asked questions about local transport, the information centre, and the café.
Do you have an overview of local timetables?
We can provide you with a map of all local public transport lines. Our information centre staff will also be happy to advise you and help you find the most suitable connection so that you arrive at your destination on time.

Can I buy train tickets at your place?
You can buy train tickets at the train station or via the DÚKapka mobile app.

Where can I buy a bus ticket to Prague?
We sell seat reservation tickets for the Arriva bus service. It is not possible to reserve a ticket by phone. Tickets can be purchased or cancelled no later than 30 minutes before the scheduled departure.

How do I pay for a bus ticket when travelling around the town?
You can pay the driver in cash or by card as soon as you board the bus. A standard ticket costs 24 CZK; children and seniors receive a 50% discount. The ticket is valid for 45 minutes.

Which bus stop does bus No. 110 to the Botanical Garden leave from?
Bus No. 110 to the Botanical Garden departs from the Benešovo náměstí stop. The stop is located just a few metres below the crossroads next to our café, on 28. října Street.

When can I take a ride on the Humboldt tourist train?
The Humboldt tourist train operates at least once a week and takes passengers on a guided tour around Teplice. For information about upcoming rides and routes, please check the VisitTeplice website and our social media channels. You can also book the Humboldt train for your private route with or without an English speaking guide. Contact us for more information.

Where can I find the public toilets?
The public toilets are located directly in the building of our information centre on Beneš Square. Enter through the main entrance (facing the fountain), then continue left to the end of the foyer, past the public computers.

Are the public toilets chargeable?
Yes. There is a fee of 10 CZK, payable at the turnstile either in cash (the machine accepts all coins and gives change) or by card.

What can be found on the upper floor of the information centre?
There is a free and publicly accessible gallery on the upper floor, where exhibitions and seasonal mini markets regularly take place. The upper floor can also be rented for corporate and social events by prior arrangement. More information can be found here.

Are you also open on weekends?
Yes, we are open every day, including weekends and public holidays, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. We are closed only on 24 and 25 December and on 1 January.

Do you sell postcards and stamps?
Yes, we offer a wide range of postcards featuring motifs of the city of Teplice. Stamps can be purchased at the nearby post office (Dubská 3094/1) or at a stationery shop.

Is the spring water in Teplice drinkable?
The thermal water springs from depths of up to 1 km underground. It has beneficial effects on the musculoskeletal system and has traditionally been used in the treatment of vascular and nervous system disorders. Due to its high mineral content, it is not suitable for regular drinking cures.

Do you accept payments in euros?
Yes, euros and card payments are accepted in the information centre as well as in most restaurants and shops. Our staff can also provide information about the nearest exchange offices.

Can you arrange a city tour in English or German?
Yes, we can arrange a guided tour of Teplice in English or German with one of our experienced tour guides.

Where is the information centre?
The information centre is located next to the café. After entering the café, continue straight ahead and you will find the information centre.

Where do you get your desserts from?
We get our desserts, open sandwiches, and other pastries from local producers, Jitřenka and Dorťárna.

Where can I busy the bus ticket to Prague?
You can buy Arriva bus tickets to Prague at the information centre further along this corridor / passage.

Is the outdoor seating area served?
No, please order inside the café and we will bring your order to your table outside.
