House of Culture

House of Culture

The Teplice House of Culture is one of the city’s outstanding architectural landmarks. It is one of the few examples of modern architecture that deliberately contrasts with the historic centre of Teplice, adding a strong contemporary element to it. The building was designed by Karel Hubáček, a renowned Czech architect and the author of the iconic hotel and television transmitter on Mount Ještěd.

The building was completed in 1986, and its main feature is a concert hall with a capacity of nearly 600 visitors. Today, the House of Culture serves as a vibrant centre of social and cultural life — in addition to concerts, you can also enjoy a cinema, dance courses, and other cultural events open to the general public. The North Czech Philharmonic Teplice also has its seat in this building.
