Aquacentrum in Teplice was opened in 1996 as the first facility of its kind in the Czech Republic. Between 2017 and 2019, it underwent extensive reconstruction and modernization. Today, it is a modern swimming and leisure complex that, like the local spa houses, uses thermal water from Teplice’s healing springs. It offers relaxation and entertainment for all age groups.
Visitors can enjoy thermal water at a temperature of 32 °C and a variety of attractions: a 61-metre-long waterslide, a wide slide, a lazy river, a rocking cave, a climbing net, massage loungers and benches, a paddling pool for the youngest visitors, and other water features. The complex also includes a swimming pool with four lanes and a sauna world, which comprises the Children’s World sauna, the main sauna, and a steam bath.
The outdoor sunbathing area was also modernized, with a paddling pool featuring two water levels covering 62 m², 15–25 cm deep, with additional attractions. There is a play zone with impact surfaces decorated with sea motifs, 3D play elements, and a pirate ship. Visitors can also use ten sunbathing platforms and loungers.
The facility is further complemented by two squash courts, a fitness centre, a solarium, and the Plavecká Restaurant. Additional services for the public include aqua aerobics, aqua yoga, yoga classes, and swimming courses for children aged 4–7. More information can be found on the Aquacentrum website, as well as on Facebook and Instagram.
