Planetarium in Koperníkova Street

Did you know that Teplice is home to a technical rarity? Our planetarium is the last fully analog facility in the Czech Republic. The heart of the hall is the opto-mechanical projector ZKP2 by Carl Zeiss, which creates a starry sky with perfect sharpness and depth. In complete darkness, you can experience the universe as vividly as in the mountains, far from light pollution.

What does the planetarium offer?

Stars shine here every Wednesday and Sunday, regardless of the weather:

for children (3:00 PM and 5:00 PM): afternoon programs combine space-themed stories with playful learning
for adults and youth (7:00 PM): evening shows and lectures present insights from astronomy and astrophysics

Education for schools:

Thanks to its unique technology, the planetarium offers schools an exceptional educational tool. Programs ranging from space exploration to the life of stars can be adapted to age and curriculum.
