Despite being in poor condition and currently closed, the Snake Spa is a protected cultural monument of the Czech Republic. It is one of the oldest spa buildings in Teplice, and its classicist architecture still reflects its former glory. The Snake Spa building is located in the Šanov district, close to the Military Spa. Until the end of the 18th century, there was a shallow depression filled with warm water on this site, which was said to attract snakes and amphibians – giving the spa its name, “Snake Spa.”
