Another cultural monument of the town, which is definitely worth mentioning, is the Kabát musical group.
This rock band was probably formed in 1983 – even the band is not entirely sure about it, and the method of decomposition of radioactive carbon which was applied on the shoes of one of the founding members, Milan Špalek, who attended the founding meeting, allegedly doesn´t help.
Other members are Josef Vojtek (singer), Tomáš Krulich, Ota Váňa and Radek Hurčík.
The band has released 11 studio albums and sold over one million copies. It won 12 awards in the Czech Nightingale Inquiry, which no other musical group succeeded in our country, it even represented the Czech Republic in the Eurovision Song Competition Show.
