Fryderyk Chopin navštívil Teplice v létě 1829 v rámci své zpáteční cesty z Vídně do Varšavy, které využil ke krátkým pobytům v některých českých a německých městech. Koncem srpna odjel s několika přáteli z Fryderyk Chopin visited Teplice in the summer of 1829 as part of his return trip from Vienna to Warsaw, which he used for short stays in some Czech and German cities. At the end of August, he left Vienna with several friends for Prague, from where he continued to Teplice, where he stayed for three days to see the city and its surroundings. Chopin accepted the invitation of the noble Clara-Aldringen family and on the evening of August 24 gave a small concert for the princely company at the Teplice Castle. It is said that this was Chopin's first ever performance in Bohemia.
